Artist Statement:

I am presently working on art dealing with the people who are instrumental in starting wars and who are profiting from war. My art will also be dealing with my time in country and my return home.

History tends to repeat itself, with recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq continuing to kill our troops and innocent civilians. This isn’t likely to change, because wars are very profitable. But what it does to the men and women who suffer its wrath lasts a lifetime.

In 1969 I left a hostile country and returned to a hostile country. I spent the next 25 years of my life with undiagnosed PTSD. In time, I received help from the Vet Center and the VA Clinic.

My work continues to provide an essential therapeutic outlet which is necessary for my ongoing recovery.
