Peter Wysocki

From the Artist:

From: "Untitled 10"

The Ultimate Price
They wrote in the old days that it is sweet and fitting to die for one's country. But in modern warfare there is nothing sweet nor fitting in your dying. You will die like a dog for no good reason. (Ernest Hemingway, 1899-1961)

Kids in gym shoes, too young to have a beer with dad before they died. Bamboo stakes, grappling wire and booby traps. An unorthodox war fought on their training range, by their rules and under their time table. There was only one rule book, and they had possession of it. Leaders in Washington pondered the next strategic move, over cake and coffee, while your Loved one was paying the ultimate price.
